Sailing a sailboat together is a wonderful feeling. It is an ideal combination of relaxation and effort, experiencing wind and water and going on an adventure together. The Aira 22 is specially designed to sail together. With friends, family, parents and children, from two to six people. Read experiences of others.
‘When the first Airas were built, I immediately started sailing with my family. Together with my wife, children and in-laws we went to the Sneekermeer for an afternoon. My wife commented afterwards that I had designed a good boat. And that means something.’
— Maarten Voogd, designer Aira 22
‘As far as I’m concerned, the Aira 22 is a social boat. The boat belongs to my parents, but I went sailing in it with a group of friends. You sit close to each other, but comfortable thanks to the cushions. Hanging out a bit, talking a bit and meanwhile you can sail well in it too. Usually you are folded in a sailboat, but here you can just sit with six of us, with enough space.’
– Thomas Müller
‘My husband and I use the Aira for beautiful tours. We both have busy jobs and to us sailing means relaxation. After a busy week we are looking forward to a sailing trip at the weekend. After half an hour on the water you feel the tension slipping off you, wonderful.’
