Aira 22 HISWA Boat of the Year

During the opening ceremony of the 35th edition of the HSIWA, the Aira 22 was named ‘HISWA Boat of the Year’ in the sailing boat category.

The battle for HISWA Sailboat of the Year was between the AIRA22, the Domani S30 and the Sapphire Se37. After an earlier nomination round in July, the nominees competed against each other in an ultimate sailing test. The independent jury, consisting of editors from various water sports media, met for this in the Bataviahaven in Lelystad.

“A comfortable and affordable family boat with innovative propulsion. A new player in a category in which mainly old models dominate”.

The chairman of the jury, Martin de Jager, describes the AIRA22 as “a comfortable and affordable family boat with innovative propulsion. A new player in a category in which mainly old models dominate”.

The “HISWA Boat of the Year” election is an honorary prize for motorboats and sailboats created by the HISWA association, HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show and the HISWA te water. The boats are judged on their innovative character, sailing characteristics, construction, price-quality ratio and design.
